Hotel Montbrillant

The hotel is directly behind the central train station, Cornavin, which made it perfect for me to get to work, and get out of town easily! It is in the center of town, so could have traffic noises, train noises, and people, but this is Switzerland, so it was pretty silent sometime around midnight until about 6am. The hotel is being renovated, but it didn't affect my room or the entrance for the rooms with kitchenettes (like mine). The kitchen was decently equipped, I had a table and 2 chairs there, plus a coffee table and two chairs for any possible guests. The staff was super helpful. I'd defintely stay there again!

The hotel has a great location and an amazing staff. It is only 7 min away from the airport if you take the train. The train station is right next to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions about the different places we wanted to visit. The rooms are very spacious and clean. We were very happy with our stay. Because of the convenient location of the hotel, we did not have to take public transportation and instead walked to visit the places we wanted to. The hotel even sends you a free public transportation card. We will visit again.

Location: Just behind the Cornavin (Geneva) Station = Super close to the public transport and shops & restaurants open on Sundays and holidays; Sufficient and efficient service: No frills, but quite enough. If you need something (e.g. CH adapters for electric devices, iron), you can ask for them from the reception.

I liked being close to the train station. I liked the quality of the front desk staff. All were very civil and very courteous. Oscar is an excellent hotel person and he is some skillful with languages. The young Russian was very professional. My sink filled up with water and it was nearly impossible to release the drain. I had to enlist the assistance of the front desk. I really appreciated the free transportation code.

Hotel is some 20 meters from the train station Cornavin and taxi's and 40 meters from a busstop. The rooms are comfortable and come with coffeemaker/water heater, safe and water and coffee free every day. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is optional and basic but sufficient. Hotel is some 5 tot 10 minutes walking to Lac Leman/ Geneva Lake. Lots of cheap restaurants (Chinese, Indian, Turkis etc) in the neighbourhood, also supermaket Migros and Coop and warehouse Manor.
